Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 large fennel bulb
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Clean the fennel bulb. Then cut off the stalks.
  • Carefully cut off the dirty bottom of the bulb. Be sure not to cut too far, as you want the bulb to remain intact.
  • Cut the fennel bulb in half. Then into wedges, 6-8 pieces total, depending on the size of your fennel bulb.
  • Place wedges in a bowl and add oil and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Transfer wedges to air fryer in one layer.
  • Set air fryer to 390 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • Check fennel every 5 minutes, tossing to ensure even cooking.
  • Your fennel may be done at 12 minutes, or you may want to add another minute.
  • Serve as a side dish, atop a salad, or snack on it on its own!
  • Optional garnishes include black pepper, fresh lemon, or parsley.

Notes

Leftovers: Refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze in air tight container for up to 5 months.
